Monday 31st March, War Horse Trail. Meet at Huyton Station at 09:50am for the 10:01am train to Lime Street then walk to Central Station for the Ormskirk train. The War Horse Route mostly follows that taken by thousands of horses brought from all over the world to Ormskirk Station via Liverpool Docks. The horses were then walked through the streets of Ormskirk to Lathom and the Remount Depot at Lathom Park where they were then trained for service.
